  • Assists Cardiologists during diagnostic/interventional cardiac and or peripheral procedures
  • Assists with prepping the patients for diagnostic/interventional cardiac/device implants/EP studies and or peripheral procedures
  • Assists Radiologists during all special procedure studies (i.e., angiograms, vena cavagrams, ) to provide optimal Diagnostic/Special Radiology examinations
  • Assists the physician in diagnostic procedures
  • Operates angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging
  • Uses independent judgement to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure, performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images that meet the acceptability criteria established by the Department Chairman
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures
  • Scrub and assist medical staff with the performance of both diagnostic and interventional procedures for neuro and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Experienced in the area of special imaging needs for the age specific patient groups, has demonstrated knowledge and abilities in adapting special procedures exams for patients with special needs
  • Responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active unencumbered Radiology Tech state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Two years of work experience as Radiology Tech 
  • One year of Meditech experience
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (RN)

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
